Dr. Zawadi Rucks-Ahidiana is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University at Albany, State University of New York.  Her research examines how culture and urban development contribute to race and class inequality.  Dr. Rucks-Ahidiana is also the creator of Practical PhD, a site where she shares information about the PhD life from deciding to go to graduate school to being in a tenure-track job.
